Dynasty Baseball resembles PtP more so than DMB, which if not for that early relationship, doesn't resemble PtP in the least. PtP was then revived in 1993 as a board game, and now goes by the name of Dynasty Baseball. I have played DMB since it's days of being Pursue the PennantĪccording to what I've researched on the net, DMB was named Pursue the Penant because Tippett "had a marketing relationship with the company of the same name." This relationship ended in 1995. I grabbed 2008, when the Indians at least were competitive.

If you get the game or if anyone else has it, I'd like to try some online. There are various add-ons, also, which add player photos and team logos and stadiums. I've been looking into the engine of the game, and it is pretty complex but overal easy to play. Those sidearmers threw sidearm for a reason!Ĭool looking game though, I am thinking about buying it. I would have liked to have them included lefty/righty breakdowns for the pitchers too. From what I understand the lefty/righty is only taken into account on the batter's card not pitcher's. The only thing I think it's lacking is a comprehensive lefty/righty system. I do like the way replay has you add up both numbers then look at the result. I don't think in real baseball it's a 50-50 proposition it always kind of bugged me when a pitcher who gave up like 2 home runs all year would give up a lot of homers on the hitter's card. It's been a while but I think In strat 1-3 you look at the pitcher's card and 4-6 the hitters. One thing I liked about replay over strat and dynasty is that the roll is combined not split. Like you I like to know what is going on.
